Common Ground Community Guidelines

February 4, 2018

Common Ground’s social media pages are a place for thoughtful discussions of diverse opinions. We welcome debate that is civil and respectful, and encourage substantive comments that move the discussion forward. Please help us build a place for constructive conversations by keeping these guidelines in mind:

  • Criticize ideas, not people.
  • Avoid:
    • name-calling.
    • ad hominem attacks.
    • personal attacks.
    • abusive language.
    • profanity.
  • Respond to a post’s content, not its tone.

Comments that we find to be hateful, inflammatory, or harassing will be removed. If you don’t have something nice to say about another user, don’t say it. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

We are also mindful of Facebook’s community standards and are committed to upholding them in order to keep Common Ground a welcoming place for everyone. Please note that we work to keep discussion on our page in line with these standards.
