Lawmakers are close to passing a historic infrastructure bill, but a group of progressive Democrats wants to pass it only if Congress also votes on another bill that includes things like child care and free community college. It’s become known as the reconciliation bill and it’s unclear if there enough votes in Congress to pass the infrastructure bill on its own, or is its fate tied to the reconciliation bill?
