Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District on Police Reform

August 15, 2020

What do Pennsylvanians think about police reform? Our partners at the Program for Public Consultation (PPC) at the University of Maryland asked 437 residents of Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District their opinions on a slate of police reform proposals now before Congress, using a unique survey tool called a policymaking simulation. The results are in: residents of Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District had significant common ground on a number of proposed police reform measures.

Together with PPC and Voice of the People, we hosted an online Citizen Panel Forum with the Reader Advisory Panel of the Bucks County Courier Times and The Intelligencer, where we were joined by local Black and Latino community leaders and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick. Visit Voice of the People for more resources.
