Podcast: A Conversation with New York Times Columnist Thomas Edsall

August 24, 2021

How did our politics become so polarized? And do we stand a chance of moving past this division? We’re excited to announce that our own Jillian Youngblood will take on some of those questions as the new co-host of The Purple Principle, a podcast about the perils of polarization. She and executive producer Robert Pease will turn to some of the country’s leading experts for context and advice, starting with New York Times columnist Thomas Edsall, who offers his take after decades as an observer in Washington, D.C.

You can listen to the latest episode here or wherever you listen to podcasts. You can also go back in time to an earlier episode where Jillian and Dr. Steven Kull discuss the Citizen Panel Initiative, an effort to connect members of Congress and their constituents in data-driven discussions about common ground policy ideas.
